Profess - Confess

Lord, I often do profess my faith; and when asked, I always share.
But, I will confess, I do not always think ahead and really prepare.
I could profess my faith more, if I ask for Your Spirit’s guidance.
Many opportunities are lost not looking for every happenstance.
Using words that cause thought, possibly they will stop and stare.
Using Your name in a good way and having  scriptures to share.
If I make a “Bee-Line” for the cross, your Spirit is always there
I need to focus on being ready, and reaching out, showing I care.

The answer for my faith is, I believe Your resurrection from the dead.
I need to memorize verses and events, just like historians have said.
Right now, no-one dares to say this event did not actually take place.
So many people saw You, and looked upon your scars, saw your face.
You conquered death, a sacrifice so we can spend Eternity with You.
We know that this is the “golden promise” to profess to others too.
You cannot look upon sin; we confess, that is what Your word says.
I  need to review my life, do a throne check, and sacrificially raise

Questions that demand answers, and so be brave enough to question
“Do you know if you are going to heaven” is a loaded suggestion.
It requires a “Yes” or a “No” or at least some further discussion.
You are going to start a dialogue, you may even face opposition.
God’s word says we are to be ready to give an answer at all times
To everyone that asks for a reason for the hope in us; asks and finds
Themselves searching for hope, those who the Spirit actually leads.

For you do not speak alone, it is the Spirit that always intercedes.

  • Galatians 5:25 ~ Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
  • I John 1:9 ~ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word has no place in our lives.
  • Proverbs 12:17 ~ A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies.
  • 1 Corinthians 2:11 - 13 ~ For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the Spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, can he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
